Para gliding and hang gliding are in the Zillertal all season possible, beause every season has it's appeal.
The tailwind system in the Zillertal is very distinct. From june to september is it to feel intensive. Our tailwind layer can reach up to a height of 1600m, also nearly 1000m thick. The force of course is depend of each particular day an can refresh up to 30-40 km/h. The day periodic cycle of the tailwind system is not always time-independent.
Around lunchtime begins the tailwind (north wind) to act and on later afternoon around ca. 5:00pm can it be on the height. This tailwind sytem will not be considered from the local weather forcast. Especially with lower start pads can the tailwind totally differ from the main wind direction.
